About Us
Rocky Mountain Dance opened in September of 2000, under the direction of Trisha Wilstead. Before this time, Trisha had fourteen years of experience, marking 2012 as her 25th year of teaching! At RMD, we pride ourselves in offering quality dance instruction in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Tumbling. Our beautiful facility provides dancers with six large studios, all with sprung floors and Marley surface to protect our dancers from injury. Our north studios are equipped with a camera viewing system allowing our parents to view classes from the lobby area.
At Rocky Mountain Dance our qualified instructors strive to create a positive atmosphere while teaching our students the value of strong technique. Through years of experience, we have found a balance between training, performance, academic studies and home life for our students while allowing them to reach their full potential. Graduates from Rocky Mountain Dance have received college scholarships in dance throughout the state and performed on professional levels with various companies including Ballet West, RDT (Repertory Dance Theatre) and Sacramento Ballet.
